Frank B. Foster Summer Jazz Camp Participants

The Frank B. Foster Summer Jazz Camp is a one-week intensive workshop held on the campus of Walnut Hills High School paying homage to Cincinnati-born saxophonist, composer and arranger Frank B. Foster. This camp immerses a small group of Cincinnati’s most dedicated high school instrumentalists in the art form of Jazz helping them develop lifelong skills necessary both on and off the bandstand. Accepted students participate in daily combo classes, Jazz theory/improvisation and Jazz history. Additionally students are given two private lessons by experts on their instrument in the region. The camp culminates in a final performance taking place at the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center.
