Join us for the Visionaries + Voices (V + V) Teaching Artist Workshop, an interactive program that highlights the power of creativity as a tool for learning and community connection. Led by V + V teaching artists, this session will demonstrate a hands-on visual art lesson while inviting participants to explore their own creativity.

During the workshop, guests will learn how artists and educators use visual art to spark dialogue, build skills, and inspire new ways of seeing the world. Community members of all ages are encouraged to participate and create something of their own, making this both a learning experience and a space for shared artistic expression.

Come ready to observe, learn, and make. No prior art experience is necessary.

Established in 2003, Visionaries + Voices is a non-profit organization that provides creative, professional, and educational opportunities to more than 125 visual artists with disabilities. Artists working at V+V actively contribute to the greater arts community through creative, educational, and strategic partnerships with local and regional artists, schools, and business leaders. Collectively, we are growing a more inclusive arts community in Greater Cincinnati.

Over 140 local artists attend the V+V studios where they use paint, clay, metal, fabric, colored pencils, ink, paper maché, collage, photography, assemblage, glass, wood, and digital materials to make art. Artists develop their own styles in the studio, leading to exhibitions in regional, national, and international galleries.

Notable pieces by V+V artists include hand-drawn maps of Cincinnati, 3-D portrait dolls made of fabric and found objects, Russian-American New World art, paintings with colorful motifs of fish, birds, and giraffes, ink drawings representing the plots of entire feature films, and imaginative works in clay.

Artists support each other in an environment that encourages self-expression and creative growth.

Fifth Third Community Days are made possible through the generous support of the Fifth Third Foundation. Museum guests receive free admission and the opportunity to experience special programming activities. Reserve your tickets online or in-person.
