Gallagher Insurance Offers Guests the Opportunity to visit
Museum for Free in Honor of Black History Month

CINCINNATI, OH. (February 12, 2019) – The National Underground Railroad Freedom Center is offering guests individual complimentary general admission through Thursday, February 28, sponsored by Gallagher Insurance in honor of Black History Month. Complimentary general admission is good during regular operating hours, Sunday – Monday: Noon - 5:00 p.m. and Tuesday – Saturday: 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

The individual complementary general admission will provide guests the opportunity to experience some of the Freedom 55 programming series, which commemorates the 55th anniversary of Freedom Summer. Guests can also see highlighted museum features including Mandela: The Journey to Ubuntu (closing March 1), Rosa Parks Experience – via a virtual reality headset – and explore the Open Your Mind: Understanding Implicit Bias Learning Lab.

“Gallagher understands how important our institution is to the community and wants everyone to have access to the powerful museum experiences we offer”, says National Underground Railroad Freedom Center President and COO, Dion Brown. “We thank Gallagher for their continued support in spreading awareness of our mission and we look forward to a strong partnership with them in the fight for freedom.”

The partnership is the latest in a growing network of organizations that Gallagher is supporting, which also includes the National African American Insurance Association and the National Minority Supplier Development Council.

“This contribution is intended to help increase awareness of the Center’s efforts and provide guests free access to this valuable learning opportunity,” says Gallagher CEO, Pat Gallagher. “Our sponsorship during Black History Month is a first step in what we consider an important long-term partnership with this organization.”
