When did you discover there was more to our history than what was revealed in the classrooms or textbooks? This meaningful conversation will gather a forum of scholars to address the miseducation and falsehoods we’ve been taught through the educational system in relation to social studies. Panelist include:
- Cornelius Bynum, Director of African American Studies & Associate Professor in the History Department at Purdue University and author of A. Phillip Randolph and the Struggle for Civil Rights
- Van Gosse; historian, activist, history professor at Franklin & Marshall College and author of The First Reconstruction: Black Politics in America from the Revolution to the Civil War
- Kellie Carter Jackson; historian, speaker, Associate Professor in the Department of Africana Studies at Wellesley College and author of Force and Freedom: Black Abolitionists and the Politics of Violence
