In conjunction with Solidarity Now! 1968 Poor People’s Campaign, an exhibit that explores one of the most important grassroots movements of the civil rights era, join us for an insightful discussion highlighting prominent community leaders who are working toward creating unencumbered, self-determined Black futures for the Greater Cincinnati region.
For generations, Black leaders have organized grassroots movements to improve the lives of the community in present times, and the future. Since 2020, the Black Empowerment Works program at United Way of Greater Cincinnati has engaged 90+ community members to invest $3M into 100 Black-led efforts centered in cultivating self-determination, social mobility and generational wealth.
This panel includes:
- Chazidy Bowman, President and Founder of Opportunities Peoples Justice Leaders
- Josselyn Okorodudu, Executive Director and Co-Founder of Our Tribe
- Nadia Ruffin, Founder and CEO of Agricademy Inc.
- Robin Wright-Pierce, Founder and Racial Justice Strategist of Wright Institute for Transformative Change.
