Ancestor story

Jacqueline Winston will share about her ancestor, Nanye'Hi (Nancy Ward), a Cherokee Revolutionary War figure, and her journey to discovering branches of her family tree.

The Attucks-Lee-Banneker Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) is the first chapter named after male Patriots of African Heritage. They will host activities focused on the forgotten Black and Indigenous patriots who participated in the American Revolution.
