For a smooth check-in and experience, please carefully review this information before your visit, signature will be required upon arrival. Failure to comply with the Freedom Center’s policies may result in incurred fees and/or up to restricted access for one year.
Payment
- Payment is due TWO WEEKS before the scheduled visit. Failure to meet this deadline may result in the cancellation of your group reservation.
- Payment must be made in a single transaction.
- Adjustments to the group size can be made leading up to two weeks of your arrival. If on the day of your visit, you have more in attendance than the reservation, any additional guests will be required to pay general admission pricing, and will need to be paid for separately.
- Refunds will only be given if the amount of refund exceeds $100.
- If the group size falls below 15, general admission rates will apply.
- Accepted payment methods: a single check (personal, business or traveler), credit card or purchase order. If paying by P.O., you must submit a copy two weeks in advance of your visit.
Check-In and Arrival
- Try to arrive approximately 10-15 minutes early to allow for restroom breaks and the check-in process. At particularly busy times, multiple groups may be scheduled for the same arrival time. Please be prompt as it will help ensure your group can begin on time.
- ONE PERSON is responsible for check-in. Upon arrival, please proceed to the front desk with the confirmation letter and check-in slip already signed and completed.
- EVERYONE accessing the museum, including bus drivers, chaperones, and Educators should be included in the final group admission count, and should also be included on your check-in slip
If You are Running Late:
If you will be late, please call the Freedom Center Guest Experience Office at 513-333-7505 as soon as possible so staff can be notified.
Please be aware that your orientation may be shortened by the amount of time you are late.
Parking
- Buses may drop off guests in our bus lane, located in front of the Freedom Center on 50 East Freedom Way. Once all guests exit the bus, we ask that you pull to back of the Freedom Center, on 2nd to park your bus, which can remain there for the duration of your visit. If there is no available parking left on 2nd St. your bus can remain parked on Freedom Way.
- Buses are not permitted in the Central Riverfront Garage.
- Bus lanes are for buses and 12-passenger vans only.
- For all other vehicles, we recommend parking in the Central Riverfront Garage (182 Race St. entrance) which is directly beneath the Freedom Center.
Game days and special events: Parking rates will increase on game days and for special events. Some garage entrances, parking areas and streets may be closed on these days.
Guided Tours
Guided Tours are now available for groups and can be booked with your reservation!
- Guided tours last approximately one hour and can accommodate up to 25 guests at a time (larger groups will be separated into multiple guided tours)
- Guided tours are an additional $10 per guest with group admission.
Cancellations and Inclement Weather
- If you need to cancel, please call our office at least three business days in advance of your visit to cancel without penalty.
- Cancellations within two business days of the visit are subject to a fee equal to 50% of the reservation amount. No call, no show, will incur a fee equal to the full reservation amount.
- Cancellations due to inclement weather will not face penalty. A reschedule will be available.
Chaperone Requirements
- Adults/chaperons are responsible for the youth in their group and will remain with them, at all times, while in the museum.
- Chaperones are defined as adults 18 years or older and cannot be older siblings, other students, or tutors.
- At minimum, we require one adult/per ten youth.
Behavior Guidelines
- Please be considerate towards one another and to our other guests while on museum property.
- Guests should be conscious of safety: NO running, shouting, throwing items, jumping, crossing or climbing of guardrails and barriers.
- Chaperones will be responsible for the cost of any damages done to the exhibits and/or facilities.
- Groups not respecting the behavioral guidelines may be asked to leave with no refund given.
- The museum is a smoke-free facility.
Lunches
Lunch space/tables are available by request through the booking form and is subject to availability. Lunch space can be reserved for half-hour durations, and is subject to a fee of $0.50 per-person per-half-hour.
- Lunch space must be reserved/paid for two weeks prior to arrival.
Memberships
Memberships are not valid for group visits.
Public Health
Please refrain from bringing group members with known contagions such as lice, Covid-19, the flu or other communicable disease.
Accessibility
- All public areas are accessible by ramp or elevator.
- Elevators are labeled in Braille.
- Accessible restrooms are available on the first, third and fourth floors of the museum.
