The Lifted Voices Series of programs creates a space for all by exploring the various ways we engage in social justice.

Experience the powerful documentary Awakening to Justice, which explores the groundbreaking work of scholars as they research the journal of abolitionist Rev. David Ingraham. The film highlights communities as examples of interracial cooperation and equality, and provides a fresh approach to today's conversations about race and faith in the church.

The screening will be followed by a panel discussion with Rev. Dr. Christopher Momany, Dr. Jemar Tisby, and Dr. Albert George Miller, and moderated by Xavier University professor, Dr. Adam Clark. Presented in connection with the Freedom Center’s Faith & (in)Justice exhibit.
