This webinar will be a series of discussions, presentations and performances hosted by youth, young professionals and community leaders. The discussions will highlight the struggles that African Americans have overcome, creating a space for those who have survived various injustices and sharing how they prevailed. Opportunities for young people to get involved in activism and community advocacy will also be discussed.
Bridging multigenerational gaps is important to forming networks that allow youth to build an equitable, sustainable, fulfilling future for themselves and the globe at large. Guest will include local high school and college students, visual artists, survivors of segregation, and social advocates. Participants will host conversations about how they have prevailed through systemically unfair practices and systems and used them as leverage for a better, fairer life.
