Accessibility Information for Visitors

The National Underground Railroad Freedom Center is dedicated to creating inclusive museum experiences. As upgrades are made the information below will be updated.

Groups with Disabilities
All groups are welcome at the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center! To schedule a visit, please contact our Group Sales Coordinator at  (513) 333-7578 or groupsales@nurfc.org.

Blind or Partially Sighted Visitors
The National Underground Railroad Freedom Center is in the beta test stage of a new audio guide experience. More information to come. 

Deaf or Hard of Hearing Visitors
The National Underground Railroad Freedom Center's permanent gallery videos are open captioned and temporary exhibition space audio elements are transcribed via exhibit panels or gallery guide.

Service Animals
Service animals are welcome at the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center.

Parents with Young Children
Changing tables are available at the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center.
You are welcome to nurse at the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center.

Accessing the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center

Parking
Parking spaces are located in the Central Riverfront Parking Garage near the garage elevators for visitors with disabilities.

Entrance
The front doors of the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center are located on the lower level.

Wheelchairs
Wheelchairs are available to visitors on a first-come, first-served basis. These wheelchairs are available free of charge. Advance reservations are not available.

Accessible Restrooms
Accessible restrooms are available on the first, third, fourth and fifth floors of the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center.

Elevators
Elevators are available for visitors to access each floor of the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center.
