Join us for a meaningful discussion of voting rights, the efforts to suppress votes and the growing plague of violence in America during CMF weekend 2022.

The authentic history of voting rights in the United States holds a peculiar legacy of voter suppression and disenfranchisement; the matter of violence throughout many sectors of our society, including law enforcement, continues to be a pressing political matter; and the steady rise of mass incarceration and penal control remains a growing crisis which connects with enslavement practices and unresolved race relations.

Moderated by Cincinnati Enquirer reporter Keith Jenkins, panelists include:

  • Dr. Hasan Jeffries, The Ohio State University
  • Te'Airea Powell, community leader
  • Ash-Lee Woodward Henderson, Highlander Research & Education Center

Presented in partnership with Visit Cincy and The Cochran Firm.
