After a successful 2017 series, the Stories of Survival Speaker Series has expanded in 2018 with five different events. Hear first-hand from speakers about their own stories of survival and journeys as refugees.

Over 80,000 Bhutanese fled Bhutan after the North declared the South a threat to the political order. Southern Bhutanese fled to India and Nepal to avoid imprisonment and torture. Since 2010, 22,000 refugees have ended up in the United States.

About Stories of Survival: Stories of Survival is RefugeeConnect's annual speaker series. Our 2018 series includes five different speaking engagements with refugees from five different countries telling their own stories of survival, including Somalia, Cyprus, the Former Soviet Union, Burundi, and Bhutan.
