This brief excerpt of the play will be followed by a panel discussion with the playwright, director and local leaders from the business community. This discussion will not only address the socio-economic themes within the play, but the contemporary challenges facing African American businesses and entrepreneurs today.

This historical play is brought to life by members of the Freedom Center's Youth Docent program and tells the remarkable story of Freedom Summer -- highlighting those individuals who risked their lives to register people to vote in Mississippi during the summer of 1964. The play was created in partnership with Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
A week- long celebration honoring two couragous freedom heroes, Lech Walesa and Nelson Mandela and highlighting 10 years of courage, cooperation and perseverance.

2014 TIP Heroes Reception
Join us Monday, June 23 to celebrate the individual heroes around the world who battle slavery as modern-day abolitionists. The Freedom Center will also recognize its second class of local Cincinnati TIP (Trafficking in Persons) Heroes. The evening includes a panel discussion with the 2014 State Department TIP Heroes.
