Joe Hansbauer, Advisory Board Chairman for Give Back Cincinnati. Mr. Hansbauer discusses the Give Back Beyond program which returned to New Orleans for the third year. 20 volunteers made this year’s trip to work with Habitat for Humanity in an effort to continuing the progress since the aftermath of the Katrina hurricane devastation.
Cheryl Brown, Conductor of Footsetps to Freedom Field Study Tours, which makes an annual trip to Cincinnati and the surrounding areas to experience the living history. Ms. Brown is also the Publisher of Black Voice News from Riverside CA.
Mr. Kenneth B. Morris, Jr., President of the Frederick Douglas Family Foundation. Mr. Morris is the great, great, great, grandson of Frederick Douglas and the great, great grandson of Booker T. Washington. He speaks of his awakening to the ongoing need to support freedom and fight contemporary slavery today.
Dr. Daniel E. Walker, a historian with the Black Voice Foundation/Research Association U.S.C. Dr. Walker has also authored ‘No More No More: Slavery and Cultural Resistance in Havana and New Orleans (Univ. of Minnesota Press).
