After a successful 2017 series, the Stories of Survival Speaker Series has expanded in 2018 with five different events. Hear first-hand from speakers about their own stories of survival and journeys are refugees.
Jewish refugees from Russia fled due to religious persecution in the 1990s. While many fled to Israel, roughly 700,000 came to the United States to exercise their right to religious practices and for economic opportunities.
About Stories of Survival: Stories of Survival is RefugeeConnect's annual speaker series. Our 2018 series includes five different speaking engagements with refugees from five different countries telling their own stories of survival, including Somalia, Cyprus, the Former Soviet Union, Burundi, and Bhutan.
